Fill-A-Ford Food Drive

Thurby’s Riverside Ford Hosts Fill-A-Ford Food Drive

Thurby's Riverside Ford recently joined the world's largest food drive initiative-Fill-A-Ford-with tremendous support from our community. Thanks to the generosity of neighbors, friends, and customers, we collected over 1,000 pounds of non-perishable food to help fight hunger in our region.

All donations were distributed to two organizations working tirelessly to meet local needs: the Salvation Army of Uniontown and the Confluence Community Food Bank. Together, this food made a meaningful difference in the lives of families throughout Fayette County and Somerset County.

Collecting Over 1,000 Pounds of Donations

According to Christina Bell of the Salvation Army, the Uniontown branch serves over 2,200 meals each week, providing support to 167 families in the area. Contributions from the Fill-A-Ford project will go directly toward sustaining that mission.

Thurby Riverside Ford's food drive was organized by Ashley Thurby Kolesar and Tracie Guthrie, who donated their personal time and whose dedication and leadership ensured that every pound of food collected reached families in need.

At Thurby's Riverside Ford, we believe in more than just selling vehicles-we believe in driving hope and making a positive impact. The success of this year's Fill-A-Ford drive reflects the power of community, and we are deeply grateful to everyone who donated and helped us fill a Ford for such an important cause.
